Introduction to
the Emotional Rescue Method

About The Course
Thousands have discovered the profound benefits of practicing the emotional resilience method taught by Dzogchen Ponlop in the book Emotional Rescue: How to Transform Hurt and Confusion into Energy that Empowers You. This course gives you the basics of the Emotional Rescue (ER) Method and a foundation of practice that you can continue to build on, both personally and professionally, on your own and with others. For a quick explanation of why emotional resilience is important for individuals and teams, here’s a 3-minute video clip of Senior Course Instructor Dr. Diane Biray Gregorio talking to Housing Catalyst’s own Angelika Lintner.
Dr. Diane and Angelika Lintner
Our world is red hot with emotions, stuck in age old patterns. Yet when we bring mindfulness and awareness to our emotional hot spots, creative energy is suddenly set free. We discover renewed well-being, inspiration, and resourcefulness to meet our challenges.
The ER Method is the result of decades of work by Dzogchen Ponlop to help people around the world experience our emotions with greater clarity of mind and generosity of spirit as we relate to ourselves, to others, and to our world.
We aspire to help create a future in which negative emotions no longer cause violence and misery. By using mindfulness to reclaim emotions as our most powerful source of creative energy, we aspire to build resilient communities where all can flourish.
The Introduction to the ER Method Course is a gift to yourself, to others, and to a suffering world. By learning the authentic ER Method, you are empowering yourself to connect with your deepest intention for wanting to transform emotions, to bring awareness to those emotions on the spot, and to reclaim the creative energy to enjoy your life and to nourish the lives of others as well.
In this course, you will have guided opportunities to practice the ER Method in an open, accepting environment. By the end of this course, you will better understand your relationship with your emotions and will have practical skills you can apply to any situation.

Course Structure and Dates
This online course is held on Zoom. It is a concise but rich program that introduces you to the fundamentals of the Emotional Rescue™ Method in eight 2-hour sessions with a generous break in between. Video recordings are available to view after each session has concluded.
Each session is filled with engaging practice, discussion, and meaningful connections with other folks who, like you, are committed to transforming difficult emotions into empowering energy. To keep the ER Method fresh between sessions, you’ll receive weekly journal questions and exercises to explore the Method on your own.
Due to limited spaces, there will be two groups, one starting in January and one starting in March / April. After you register, you’ll be randomly assigned to one of these two groups. Once the two groups are formed, specific dates and times will be announced. Stay tuned!
In order to help us understand whether the training is beneficial, participants will be asked to complete questionnaires at the beginning and at the end of the course, as well as 6- and 12-months after the training.
Course session recordings are available for 30 days.
