This course provides a foundation of understanding and practice in the 3-step Emotional Rescue Method for using mindfulness to effectively engage and reclaim the energy of emotions, as taught by author Dzogchen Ponlop in the book, Emotional Rescue: How to Work with Your Emotions to Transform Fear and Confusion into Energy that Empowers You. On completing the Introduction to ER Method, you are eligible to register for the Instructor Level 1 Training, the first step on the pathway to Instructor certification.

In this 4-week series with Harvard-trained organizational psychologist Dr. Diane Biray Gregorio, you’ll learn about the latest research in psychology, neuroscience, and biology that shows how we can build the emotional resilience and creativity we all need right now.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and get answers on the latest science presented in each session to support you on the road to resilience.
You will come away with knowledge of the newest findings to support and encourage you in bouncing back, both personally and professionally, on your own and with others.
This program fulfills a prerequisite for completing Emotional Rescue™ Instructor Advanced Level 2 Training.
In the Instructor Level 1 course, you will have the opportunity to deepen your experience and skill in applying the Emotional Rescue Method. You will be introduced to the ER Community Principles, and will learn more about developing emotional resilience, including the science behind it all. Best of all, you will discover your own most effective ways of working with your emotional patterns related to anger, fear, and anxiety; loneliness, depression, and sadness; and emotions in relationships. By deepening your skill in practicing the Emotional Rescue Method, you will be fulfilling the most important prerequisite for continuing on the pathway to ER Instructor certification. On completing this course, you will be eligible to register for the Instructor Advanced Level 2 Training. To receive credit toward Instructor certification, participants must attend all class sessions live.
In this advanced, in-depth course, you will have the opportunity to develop skill in facilitating discussions and presenting the key points of the Emotional Rescue Method. Class sessions will include role plays in which participants will practice applying the Method in different class scenarios. Along the way you will be giving and receiving supportive feedback, as well as deepening your understanding of the ER Community Principles. You will also learn more about the science behind the ER Method. By completing this course, you will be eligible to apply for Qualified Instructor, a prerequisite for continuing on the pathway to ER Instructor certification. Participants must attend all class sessions live.
